GURU PURASKAR® - Inspirational Teacher Award recognizes outstanding Teachers in India who inspire in their students a love for learning, encourage them to pursue excellence and give them the skills and enthusiasm they need to make a positive difference in the world.
 

About GURU PURASKAR®
Most successful people have had a college teacher, counselor or coach who stands out in their hearts and memories as a significant influence in their lives. The lessons such outstanding Educators teach often go far beyond the subject matter of their fields. They may instill values and a love for learning that shape a student’s educational and career choices and guide them throughout their adult lives. GiveG Foundation wishes to recognize a few of these exceptional educators who are influencing the lives of their students. Selections will be made on the basis of information and insights presented in the Nomination Forms submitted by the applying Teachers / Lecturers / Coaches.
GURU PURASKAR®award is intended to provide a vehicle for citizens to recognize teachers who inspire, and to celebrate outstanding educators while creating a stronger community.  GURU PURASKAR®  is a natural extension of the GiveG's principles and values.
 
Nominated Teachers / Coaches will receive an acknowledgement from the ‘Guru Puraskar Committee’.
A selection committee will review nominations and make selections.  Recipients of the GURU PURASKAR® Award will receive Cash prizes and a celebratory recognition in their local area. . 
Cash prizes of Rs.12,000 to the Winners; Rs.10,000 to the First Runner-up and Rs.7,500 to the Second Runner-up will be awarded toNominations in each of the following Categories:
1. Primary / Middle School Teachers.
2. High School Teachers.
3. College Lecturers / Professors.
4. Faculty members in Professional Colleges.
5. Sports Coach or Soft-Skills Trainers.
Eligibility:  Applying Teacher / Lecturer / Coach should be presently employed in the teaching / training profession for at least one year.
